Disability Rights Commission |
The Disability Rights Commission (DRC) opened its doors for business on April 25th 2000. Now for the first time in Britain, we disabled people have a central organisation that is on our side. The DRC will work similarialy to the Equals Opportunities Commission and the Commission for Racial Equality, so that must mean that disabled individuals now have the same Human Rights as women and black people! Hurray! The DRC will provide information, advice and legal representation, Isn’t it good to know that at last we have someone who can fight for our corner and slap the heads of those who treat us as second-class citizens? If you want to get in touch with the DRC, they can be contacted at: | |
