The PHAB FREEWHEELERS was set up in 1973 to provide social activities within the local community for disabled and non-disabled people.
Today, thirty-nine years on, it is a highly respected organisation and attracts up to an attendance of 70 members at its main fortnightly meetings.
Its aim is to empower, enable and encourage people with and without physical disabilities to come together on equal terms to share fun activities and friendship.
Members chat, play games, go out, learn new skills and have a great time.
For everyone, the group opens doors to a wider life, wider friendships and wider opportunities to go to places and to do things they’ve never done before.
